In the fall of 1953, Dr. Robert Trever was an intern at Johns Hopkins Hospital when he met a beautiful nurse in her first year of post-graduate work, Margaret Barber.
Three months later, he proposed. She, ever pragmatic, said to wait. In six months he asked again, and the two were married in the summer of 1954.
Robert and Margaret are my grandparents. They would go on to have seven children, and he would later start his own practice where she would work by his side for decades.
Those two are such an inspiration to me, so I absolutely had to pick this vintage Hopkins sweatshirt for my first @nuuly order. I am sad to send it back! At least I have photos by @amish0graphy to capture it in time.
