It’s Wellness Wednesday Fit Fam! ✨✨✨ This week’s workout is a glute activation circuit. 🍑 Glute activation is simply “waking up” or warming up your glute muscles before doing heavier exercises, like squats, to strengthen those muscles and make them more efficient! I HIGHLY recommend incorporating glute activation exercises into your weekly routine on leg/glute days if you really want to see a difference. One great way to intensify activation is by incorporating resistance with the exercises. You can do this by adding weights like dumbbells/kettlebells/med balls or by using of my personal favorite pieces of equipment, resistance bands!🔥 I use these for everything on leg days and have noticed some major improvements in my muscular endurance and strength. 💪🏽

1️⃣Banded Donkey Kicks
3x30 (15 each leg)
2️⃣Banded Fire Hydrants
3x30(15 each leg)
3x20 (10 each leg)
4️⃣Banded Glute Bridge w/
5️⃣Banded Leg Pulses
3x12-15 each leg
6️⃣Banded Pulse Squats
7️⃣Banded Lateral Walks

Front Squats...not fun for someone with carpal tunnel. 😬😭 But regardless of the wrist discomfort, I was kinda proud of these today. I haven’t practiced this movement in over two years. Started with just the bar and found I could get up to 75# while maintaining good form and depth. It may not be a lot in the book of many, but for me, it’s a tiny victory so imma celebrate it. 💁🏻♀️
