Finishing off Day 3/9 on our 9-Day Lemosho Western-Breach Route. On Day 3, we camp at Moir Camp, at an elevation of 4,200m (13,780 ft).
We begin to encounter a different type of ecological zone, which resembles more of a desert/rocky landscape
Actually, the camp we have lunch at on Day 3 is Fischer's Camp. There is a plaque dedicated to the famous mountaineer and pioneer of the western-breach route, Scott Fischer. A few of our guides, who have been with us for over 15-20 years, used to climb Mt Kilimanjaro with Scott Fischer. They were his general porters and staff on his team with Scott's company Mountain Madness.
"Perhaps I shall be a new mountain so that you always have a home". Swipe on this photo to check out his plaque. RIP, LEGEND.
