When I travel, there’s always a moment of realization. Stepping into a new world, a new experience .. but the only thing I can be certain of...is the moment I entered this place, I knew I would not be the same once I left. Grateful for another sunset.

Arizona, you are beautiful in such a unique way. You are also unbelievably hot. Like...so, so hot. . My mom told us a year ago that for her 60th birthday, she wanted to really do something fun. Since she never asks for anything, the family decided to make sure she got what she wanted--a week of time with the people she loves and no other objective than to hang out with each other and see some things she'd never seen before. . We all stayed together in an eclectic @airbnb in Camp Verde and made day trips to Sedona, the Grand Canyon, Flagstaff, and Montezuma's Castle, among others. . Also, we have been home for a week already and this is the first time I'm posting pictures because I'm bad at life. ✌ . #travel #arizona #grandcanyon #family #adventures

Doing an exchange year is by far the best decision you will ever make in your entire life. Period. Is there any way I can make this sound less cliché? Unfortunately not. But it’s the truth. You will make the best friends. You will learn to appreciate everything more than ever. From family to the way things are organized in your home supermarket. You get to know yourself in a level you couldn’t possibly have imagined before. Being an exchange student means you are automatically one of the most awesome people in the world. You will get amazing people skills. You will learn the most random, stupid things yet in some moment of your life you will use it again and you realize it somehow all had a purpose. Love you forever America!🇺🇸🌎 #grandcanyon #beautifulplanet #dreamcametrue #placetobe #stunningview #arizona #bucketlist #roadtrip #worldtraveller #collectingmemories

👣 . . . . . . . . . . . . The Grand Canyon is known for its visually overwhelming size and its intricate and colorful landscape. Geologically, it is significant because of the thick sequence of ancient rocks that are well preserved and exposed in the walls of the canyon. These rock layers record much of the early geologic history of the North American continent. 👀 . . #Arizona #GrandCanyon #VisitArizona #outdoors #outdoorlife #explore #travelgram #travel #outdoorphotography #trippy #bw #roadtrip #blackandwhitephotography #bwphotography #adventure #adventureculture #optoutside #wildernessculture #artofvisuals #exploretocreate #visualsoflife #mood #clouds #escapism #digitalart #digitalphotography #geography #geology #hike #lightandshadow . . Tuesday and Wednesday we hiked the #grandcanyon from #rim2rim. It was so indescribably hard and humbling. Two days of pushing ourselves mentally and physically. So glad we did it but you will not see me at the bottom of the Grand Canyon ever again 🤣

It took buckets of sweat, a few blisters, and a lot of tears, but @jess_sue_ we did it. But don’t worry, you get to pick the anniversary trip next year. Thanks for pushing yourself to such a great limit so that I could fulfill a dream of backpacking into the Grand Canyon. It was an incredible three days, and I’m glad to have spent them with you. #backpacking #grandcanyon #outdoors #hiking #camping #optoutside #trailchat #adventure #campingcollective #ourwild #wildernessnation #beatenpathco #leavenotrace #allaboutadventures

24+ hours on the road through some of the craziest places I've ever seen. Hiked down the Grand Canyon, walked the salt flats in Death Valley and backpacked 16 km up to camp near the base of half dome in Yosemite. What an experience. @raycrosetta

just as your mother made you, mother earth made all of us: this earth, our earth, provides us with water, nourishment, beauty, the feeling of a cool breeze on your skin on a hot day, & life itself. we in cities forget this sometimes, surrounded as we are by the grandeur of everything that it feels like we have made. but we couldn't have made it without this base to build on, & we will not be able to make more if we destroy it. we should preserve our national parks, yes, but every aspect of nature is a wonder if you look at it close enough. let's not forget about the rest of it either. 🌏 // #belleinaz #belleinframe . . . . . . #grandcanyon #travelusa #traveldeeper #travel #wanderlust #wanderfolk #woman #beautifuldestinations #nature #natgeotravel #passionpassport #climatechange #sustainableliving #sustainability #sustainablefashion #roadtrip #roamtheplanet #sheisnotlost #dametraveler #vscofilter #teampixel #exploreeverywhere #exploretocreate #earthfocus #earthpix

Happy World Refugee Day from your favorite neighborhood refugee! I am extremely grateful to have been granted political asylum in 1999; sadly, had my family fled to the United States today, we would have likely been denied. Imagine your life without me in it?! All jokes aside, the global migrant crisis is at an all time high - the United Nations estimates that 1 in 108 people around the world have been forced to flee their homes due to persecution, violence, and war. More than 35,000 people are displaced EVERY DAY. This staggering figure paints a horrific reality in our world today, especially given that in 2019, the Trump administration placed a cap on refugee asylum for the YEAR at 30,000, the lowest figure since the US Refugee Act was passed in 1980. Do the math. #worldrefugeeday #refugeeswelcome

How do y’all balance your work/life craziness? I feel like over the past year I have finally hit a sweet spot with what balance looks like. Before kiddos, work was my baby and almost to an unhealthy point. Then I took a long break after Liam was born which left me feeling lime I was neglecting my business. I think I have finally, FINALLY reached a point where I know when to rest and I know what balance actually looks like for me and it feels. so. good. 🙌🏻

Visited Bambi in Grand Canyon 🦌 _______________________________________________________ Everything in the forest has it’s season. Where one thing falls another grows. Maybe not what was there before, but something new and wonderful all the same 🍂🌿

That time @natebachmann & I went on a "real" vacation for the first time in 3 years. . Driving countless miles through desert and vast ancient rock formations in Utah & Nevada; making us feel like teeny pioneering astronauts. Hiking/walking/sweating over 50 miles in Zion, Bryce Canyon, Grand Escalante, Capitol Reef, Mexican Hat, Monument Valley, Flagstaff, Grand Canyon, Sedona & Las Vegas. Claiming the earth with our toes and braving cliffs to see vistas from above. Smiling at every plant that demanded to be part of this world, despite the harsh conditions. Camping as the moon and stars glowed like diamonds; searching for UFO's (but didn't find any ☹️); diving in cool watering holes off the beaten path; discovering our cooler had been attacked by ravens (go figure, Bmore!), destroying our dinner. Learning about the Spooky 2 and it's frequency powers 👻 . Cry-laughing as we watched best friends @mblum86 & @cjcapizzi renew their wedding vows in front of fake Elvis in a bedazzled white jumpsuit. . Thank you @natebachmann for opening my eyes to a part of this country I shamefully didn't have any interest in. I had no idea the southwest could be so hauntingly gorgeous or that I would inevitably fall in love with it. And thank you to our friends and/or friends of friends who wrote to us, even though some of us have never met, to give us your tips and tricks. You guys rock as deep as the damn Grand Canyon :) . To see more pics & details of our hikes, check out @natebachmann 's 'Southwest Highlights' in his profile - he did an awesome job documenting everything! (Unlike me lol)
