Tomorrow morning when you start your day, if you get to drink your morning coffee with healthy kids…be thankful.
If you get to drink your morning coffee
✨while you wrestle kids out of bed…be thankful.
✨with screaming kids in the backseat of the car…be thankful.
✨while you feed and rock your new baby…be thankful.
✨while you pack school lunches and sign notes…be thankful.
✨with all of your kids asking you 100 questions…be thankful.
✨while you drop kids off at 3 different locations…be thankful.
✨as you plan family dinners and grocery lists…be thankful.
✨with a calendar full of your kids’ activities…be thankful.
✨In a hospital room with a sick child…be thankful because they are still here fighting with you!
For many of us, we are having our morning coffee at the cemetery with a child we will never be able to hold again, drive around, wake up in the mornings, demand to brush their teeth, check their homework, watch play baseball, and everything else that kids should be doing. For some moms, we don’t get to experience childhood with our kids because cancer took that away.
So, in the middle of crazy mornings, hectic schedules and busy lives…be thankful and live each day to the fullest. Tell your kids how much you love them and how proud you are of them, then show them, too.
I don’t get to drink my morning coffee with both of my babies, but I do get to greet each day with hope. I have a hope that will never fade away because of Jesus who’s love will never run out. He carries me and sustains me. He continues to bless me and cause my cup to run over, even when I feel so dry and empty. Thank you, Jesus, for never giving up on me!
