Chilled sunset vibes as the last boat heads sleepily down Windermere beneath deep red skies developed from the setting sun.. Located on the south side of Windermere, near Newby Bridge, Gummer’s How offers spectacular panoramic views of Windermere backdropped by the surrounding rolling fells.
Starting at Gummer’s How Forestry Commission car park, at its humble height of 321m and under two miles to reach the summit and back, this gentle amble makes the perfect option for those looking for an introductory fell walk experience or for families with little ones ready to embark on their first micro adventure. With super effort to view ratio scenes at the top, be sure to take a picnic to absorb the stunning surrounds and really savour the moment.. To extend the walk, it is possible to adventure on along the undulating top running parallel to Windermere for some bonus panoramic lake views before returning back the way you came. 📷 photo by @will.holligan
