Last week Damon, Kevin, Alexander, and myself ventured our ways up to Mt. Becher for our first time to ride. The snow fell consistently all day. Every branch and tree limb sagged heavily toward the ground due to the weight of the powdery snow.
Avalanche conditions were marked "considerable" which made safety our first priority. When we approached the summit, breaks in the overcast clouds and fog flooded our westerly view with blue skies and golden, afternoon light. The colours of the light went as quick as they had arrived. Morale was extremely high.
Deep powder, more walking than most of us would have wanted, and some good turns made the entire adventure worth the sore legs. A day spent in winter's grip, with good people and some pretty stunning conditions. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
I'll be seeking more of these special experiences in the future. #NextGreatAdventure
