It only takes a minute. ☝🏻A minute to your-self. ☝🏻A minute to take a few deep breaths.
☝🏻A minute when you wake up in the morning, to start your day with stillness. ☝🏻A minute to step away. ☝🏻A minute to get out of your head and lean into your heart.
One ☝🏻minute a day. ☝🏻A minute at a stop light. ☝🏻A minute when you find yourself overwhelmed.
☝🏻A minute when your kids are fighting. ☝🏻A minute when the kids have homework, you have to make dinner and head out to their activities. (Phew— I’ve been there!)
☝🏻A minute when you find yourself caught up in an argument. ☝🏻A minute to yourself to just... breathe. ☝🏻Practicing One minute a day, will eventually, mindfully, lead to more. •
September has become a #serenitymonth for my husband and I. (It took us years to learn how to make this our priority and budget it into our life). Taking time away from the “Hustle,” disconnecting, being in nature, playing and regrouping is a priority for us and helps us stay grounded.
While this past week was full of serenity— walks on the beach, relaxing by the pool, beautiful sunsets and full moons, that is by far our daily life.
The rest of the time...
It’s deep breaths, stepping outside, taking a short walk, sitting in stillness, going out in my garden, throwing a ball with the dogs.
A minute here and there will go a long way for a peaceful mind and heart.
On this Sunday how can you begin to practice “One Minute” to create stillness, mindfulness, serenity and lean into the quiet of your heart , when the “noise” gets to too loud?
